2023 State Of Origin Series
The 2023 State of Origin series is the 42nd annual best-of-three series between the Queensland and New South Wales rugby league teams. Before this series, Queensland had won 23 times, NSW 16 times, with two series drawn. Venues Game I was held in Adelaide at the Adelaide Oval, game II in Brisbane at the Suncorp Stadium, and game III in Sydney at Accor Stadium. The series returned to Adelaide for a second time, after the Adelaide Oval hosted the first match of the 2020 State of Origin series. Game I Game I was held at Adelaide Oval in Adelaide. Queensland Rugby League Team
The Queensland rugby league team represents the Australian state of Queensland in rugby league football. Nicknamed the "Maroons" after the colour of their jersey, they play three times a year against arch-rivals New South Wales rugby league team, New South Wales in the State of Origin series. Coached by Billy Slater and captained by Daly Cherry-Evans, and is administered by the Queensland Rugby League. They play all of their home matches at Brisbane's Lang Park (now known as Suncorp Stadium). Lindsay Collins (rugby League)
Lindsay Collins (born 17 April 1996) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a for the Sydney Roosters in the National Rugby League (NRL) and Australia at international level. Nicholas Hynes (born 18 June 1996) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the National Rugby League, NRL. Murray Taulagi (born 12 March 1999) is an Australia international rugby league footballer who plays as a er or for the North Queensland Cowboys in the National Rugby League (NRL). Thomas Peter Trbojevic (born 2 October 1996), also nicknamed "Tommy Turbo", is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a as well as a wing and centre for the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in the NRL and plays for Australia at international level and New South Wales at State of Origin level. Ashley Klein
Ashley Klein is an Australian rugby league referee. Klein refereed in England, beginning in the Rugby League Conference. His first professional game was Workington Town v Featherstone Rovers on 8 September 2002. His first Super League game was Huddersfield Giants v Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on 15 June 2003. In 2006 Klein was named by the Rugby League International Federation as referee of the year. Klein was in charge of the 2008 Rugby League World Cup Final in Australia.
