2023 Renewi Tour
The 2023 Renewi Tour was a road cycling stage race that took place from 23 to 27 August 2023 in Belgium and the Netherlands. It was the second edition of the rebranded Benelux Tour and the 18th edition overall. The 2023 UCI World Tour was a series of races that include thirty-five road bicycle racing, road cycling events throughout the 2023 in men's road cycling, 2023 cycling season. The tour started with the 2023 Tour Down Under, Tour Down Under on 17 January, and concluded with the 2023 Tour of Guangxi, Tour of Guangxi on 17 October. Jasper Philipsen
Jasper Philipsen (born 2 March 1998) is a Belgian professional cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam . Career In July 2019, he was named in the startlist for the 2019 Tour de France. In October 2020, he was named in the startlist for the 2020 Vuelta a España, where he won stage 15. He participated in his second Tour de France in 2021 and while he did not win any stages he had many promising results including finishing on the stage podium a half dozen times. He rode in the 2021 Vuelta a España where he won two stages. He also wore the points classification jersey on several stages, being involved in a battle with Fabio Jakobsen for the jersey, before he decided it had been a successful race and chose to abandon about halfway through due to a mild fever. Peer () is a city and municipality located in the province of Limburg, Flemish Region, Belgium. On January 1, 2006, Peer had a total population of 15,810. The total area is 86.95 km² which gives a population density of 182 inhabitants per km². Mike Teunissen (born 25 August 1992) is a Dutch racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career He rode at the 2013 UCI Road World Championships, and was the winner of the World Under-23 Cyclo-cross Championships in 2013. He was named in the start list for the 2015 Vuelta a España. In June 2017, he was named in the startlist for the 2017 Tour de France. In 2019, he had a top 10 finish in Paris-Roubaix. He was named to the start list of the 2019 Tour de France, where he was intended to be a leadout man for Dylan Groenewegen. Late in stage one as the sprint trains were coming together there was a crash, which eliminated Groenewegen's chances and ruined the team's plans of getting the stage win and yellow jersey. Aalter () is a municipality located between Bruges and Ghent in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Aalter, Bellem, , , Knesselare and . Joshua Michael Tarling (born 15 February 2004) is a Welsh track and road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . A two time World Junior champion in the time trial, he won the elite time trial at the 2023 European Road Cycling Championships at the age of 19. Cycling career Early Career Tarling became a double British champion when winning the points and team pursuit events at the 2022 British National Track Championships. An individual time trial (ITT) is a road bicycle race in which cyclists race alone against the clock (in French: ''contre la montre'' – literally "against the watch", in Italian: ''tappa a cronometro'' "stopwatch stage"). There are also track-based time trials where riders compete in velodromes, and team time trials (TTT). ITTs are also referred to as "the race of truth", as winning depends only on each rider's strength and endurance, and not on help provided by teammates and others riding ahead and creating a slipstream.
