2023 Oklahoma Sooners Football Team
The 2023 Oklahoma Sooners football team represented the University of Oklahoma during the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season, the 129th season for the Oklahoma Sooners. They were led by second-year head coach Brent Venables. They played their home games at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, Oklahoma. They were a charter member of the Big 12 Conference. The season marked the team's last season as members of the Big 12 Conference before joining the SEC on July 1, 2024. Marvin Mims Jr. (born March 19, 2002) is an American football wide receiver for the Oklahoma Sooners. Early life and high school Mims grew up in Frisco, Texas and attended Lone Star High School. He was named the District 5-5A-I Offensive MVP in his junior season after posting 1,158 yards and 14 touchdowns. As a senior Mims set a national record with 2,629 receiving yards on 117 receptions with 32 touchdown catches and was named Mr. Texas Football and first team USA Today High School All-American. Mims finished his high school career with a state record 5,485 receiving yards. Mims initially committed to play college football at Stanford over offers from Notre Dame and TCU, but later decommitted during his senior year in favor of attending Oklahoma. The Houston Cougars football program is an NCAA Division I FBS football team that represents the University of Houston. The team is commonly referred to as "Houston" or "UH" (spoken as "U of H"). The Memphis Tigers football team represents the University of Memphis in college football in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision. Cerritos College is a public community college in Norwalk, California. It offers degrees and certificates in 87 areas of study in nine divisions. History The college was founded in 1955. It was named after Rancho Los Cerritos, a local ranch in the 19th century. In turn the college was part of the inspiration for the renaming of the neighboring city of Dairy Valley to Cerritos. The New Mexico Lobos football team is the intercollegiate football team at the University of New Mexico. The Lobos compete as a member of the Mountain West Conference. Texas State Bobcats Football
The Texas State Bobcats football program Texas State University in college football at the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) level. They play in the Sun Belt Conference.
