2023 National Amateur Cup
The 2023 National Amateur Cup is the 99th edition of the National Amateur Cup, a knockout cup competition open to amateur teams affiliated with the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA). It will be the fifth edition of the tournament to award its champion a spot in the U.S. Open Cup. Bavarian United SC are the defending National Amateur Cup champion. Format All four regions of the USASA will hold amateur cup tournaments to crown champions, which would then qualify for the final tournament. Qualification for these tournaments is determined individually by each region. The final four teams then compete in a single location knockout tournament to crown a national champion, with an additional game in place to determine both third and fourth place. Newtown Pride FC
Newtown Pride FC is an American soccer team based in the Sandy Hook, Connecticut, Sandy Hook section of Newtown, Connecticut. History The team was founded in 1998 by father and son Mike and Matt Svanda. In 2019, the team won the 2019 National Amateur Cup, National Amateur Cup for the first time in its history, becoming the second team from Connecticut, & first since 1967, to win the Cup. The team beat New Jersey sides Jackson Lions and Cedar Stars Academy to reach the USASA Region I Final against Steel FC (Pennsylvania), which the team won 2–0. In the National Final, the Pride beat RWB Adria (Illinois) in the semifinal before beating Horizon FC (Texas), 4–0, and won both the trophy and $15,000. The Midwest Premier League (MWPL) is an American amateur and semi-professional soccer league. The league spans primarily the eastern and central portions of the Midwestern United States. History The league was founded by four clubs which were all previously members of the United Premier Soccer League Midwest Conference. Tulsa Athletic is an American soccer team and are based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States. 2013 was their inaugural season in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), which is a national league at the fourth tier of the American soccer pyramid. The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) is an American men's association football, soccer league. The NPSL is a semi-professional league, comprising some teams that have paid players and some that are entirely amateur. Bavarian United SC is an American soccer team based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. Bavarian Majors of the Bavarian Soccer Club compete in the United Premier Soccer League. Ohio Valley Premier League
The Ohio Valley Premier League (OVPL) is a United States Adult Soccer Association, USASA-affiliated league through US Club Soccer that includes teams from Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. The regular season of the OVPL runs May through July. It is the only premier U23 adult amateur league in the region. The men's division was announced in November 2019 and the women's division was announced in February 2020. Both were due to begin play in summer 2020.
