2023 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Season
The 2023 NCAA Division I men's soccer season is the 65th season of National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA championship men's college soccer. The season will begin on August 24, 2023 and conclude on December 10, 2023. 2023 Syracuse Orange men's soccer team, Syracuse are the defending national champions. Changes from 2022 Coaching changes The following coaching changes occurred during the 2022–23 offseason. Conference realignment The ongoing 2021–2024 NCAA conference realignment, conference realignment had two especially significant impacts on men's soccer in the 2023 season. First, the Mid-American Conference announced on November 11, 2022 that it would no longer sponsor men's soccer after the 2022 season. The MAC had dropped to five men's soccer members during the realignment cycle, and was unable to find the sixth member needed to maintain its automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. WakeMed Soccer Park
WakeMed Soccer Park is a major soccer complex in Cary, North Carolina, United States. It consists of a purpose-built, soccer-specific main stadium called Sahlen's Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park, two lighted practice fields, and four additional fields. Sahlen's Stadium and the two lighted fields (2 & 3) are all FIFA international regulation size (). Sahlen's Stadium seats 10,000, while Field 2 also has 1,000 permanent bleacher seats. The complex also sports a full-length, nationally recognized cross-country course and houses the offices of Triangle Professional Soccer. Detroit Mercy Titans Men's Soccer
The Detroit Mercy Titans men's soccer program represents the University of Detroit Mercy in all NCAA Division I men's college soccer competitions. Founded in 1987, the Titans compete in the Horizon League. The Titans Coach is Nate Kopunek, who joined the team on March 6, 2023, replacing Coach Deren. 2021–2024 NCAA Conference Realignment
Beginning in the 2021–22 academic year, extensive changes occurred in NCAA conference membership, primarily at the Division I level. Most of these changes have involved conferences in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of Division I. The Columbia Lions men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of Columbia University. The team is a member of the Ivy League of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Oregon State Beavers Men's Soccer
The Oregon State Beavers men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of Oregon State University and competes in the Pac-12 Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The team was founded in 1988 and has competed in 26 college soccer seasons since that time.
