Peppy Martin, (born Josephine Ellen Martin on May 14, 1946) is a Kentucky politician who was the unsuccessful Republican nominee in the 1999 gubernatorial election. Early career In her early years, Martin was an intern for Republican U.S. Senator Thruston B. Morton of Kentucky. In 1971, she worked in the office of Governor Louie B. Nunn. She subsequently launched a career in public relations, eventually running her own firm in Hart County, Kentucky. She resides in Bonnieville in Hart County. Martin legally changed her name to "Peppy" from her given name of Josephine Ellen when she unsuccessfully ran for a seat in the Kentucky General Assembly in the 1970s. Daniel Cameron (American Politician)
Daniel Jay Cameron (born November 22, 1985) is an American lawyer and politician serving as the 51st Attorney General of Kentucky. He is the first African-American, and the first Republican since 1943, to be elected to the office. Cameron attended the University of Louisville. He worked as a law clerk for U.S. District Judge Gregory F. Van Tatenhove for two years, and was then legal counsel to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell from 2015-17. In 2020, he was on President Donald Trump's 20-person shortlist of potential Supreme Court nominees.
