‌The 2023 IHF Men's Super Globe was the 17th edition of the yearly club world championship in handball, held from 7 to 12 November 2023 in Dammam, Saudi Arabia under the aegis of the International Handball Federation (IHF). It was the fourth time in history that the event was organised by the Saudi Arabian Handball Federation. SC Magdeburg defeated Füchse Berlin to win their third consecutive title. Teams Twelve teams competed in the tournament: the winners of the continental tournaments, the defending champion, two host teams and two wild card teams. Draw The draw was held on 28 September 2022. SC Magdeburg is a handball club from Magdeburg, Germany, and is competing in the Handball-Bundesliga. History During the time in the GDR, the club won 10 national championships (1970, 1977, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1988, 1991) and won the GDR Cup four times. The University of Queensland Handball Club is based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The club has been affiliated with the University of Queensland since 1992. Many players are international University of Queensland students but the club is open to non-students also. The club mascot is the UQ Tiger. The 2022–23 EHF European League was the 42nd season of Europe's secondary club handball tournament organised by European Handball Federation (EHF), and the 3rd season since it was renamed from the EHF Cup to the EHF European League. Al Kuwait Handball Club ( ar, نادي الكويت لكرة اليد) is one of Kuwait Sporting Club's sections that represent the club locally as well as in international handball competitions. 2022–23 EHF Champions League
The 2022–23 EHF Champions League was the 63rd edition of Europe's premier club handball tournament and the 30th edition under the current EHF Champions League format. It ran from 14 September 2022 to 18 June 2023. SC Magdeburg defeated Barlinek Industria Kielce 30–29 in the final to capture their fourth title. Format The tournament used the same format as the previous two seasons. The competition began with a group stage featuring sixteen teams divided into two groups.
