2023 IBL Indonesia
The 2023 Indonesian Basketball League (or IBL Tokopedia for sponsorship reasons) is the eighth season of Indonesian top domestic basketball league since the re-branding by Starting5. This season marked the 20th Anniversary of the IBL indonesia since its establishment in 2003. From 2023, the divisions were abolished and therefore, each team has two matches against each other with total of 30 games per team (240 season games). The playoff teams will be selected from top 8 and the format is home and away. The preseason IBL Indonesia Cup returned in November after three year hiatus and Pelita Jaya Bakrie won the cup beating Satria Muda Pertamina. After playing 30 games for this season, Prawira Bandung finished top of the table and they faced the number eight, Borneo in the quarter final. They won the Finals after beating Pelita Jaya Bakrie 2-0 in home-away clashes. M. Indonesian Basketball League
The Indonesian Basketball League (IBL; id, Liga Bola Basket Indonesia) is the preeminent men's professional basketball league in Indonesia, founded by Indonesian Basketball Association (Perbasi) in 2003. From 2010 to 2015 it was known as the National Basketball League (NBL) and organised by DBL Indonesia. In 2016, PT Bola Basket Indonesia acquired Starting 5 and after that PT Bola Basket Indonesia assigned by PP Perbasi to organised the league. History Basketball has a long history in Indonesia. Indonesia National Basketball Team
The Indonesia men's national basketball team represents the Republic of Indonesia in international basketball competitions. The governing body of the team is the ''Persatuan Bola Basket Seluruh Indonesia'' (Indonesian Basketball Association – ''PERBASI''). Its biggest success was the gold medal at the 1996 South East Asian Championship. Team Indonesia is one of the major teams in Southeast Asia. NSH Mountain Gold Timika is a basketball team based in Timika, Papua, Indonesia. NSH Mountain Gold Timika is the first team from Papua to join in the IBL Indonesia. Mountain Gold originally signed up as a new team for 2020 season's competition. However, the new team slot was only available for two teams (Bali United & West Badit), so Mountain Gold decided to merge with NSH Jakarta.
