2023 Formula Regional European Championship
The 2023 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine was a multi-event, Formula Regional open-wheel single seater motor racing championship held across Europe. The championship featured a mix of professional and amateur drivers, competing in Formula Regional cars that conform to the FIA Formula Regional regulations for the championship. This was the fifth season of the championship and the third after a merger with Formula Renault Eurocup which resulted to the change of the engine supplier to Alpine. Andrea Kimi Antonelli, driving for Prema Racing, won the Drivers' Championship with two races to spare. His team clinched the Teams' Championship at the final race by only two points. Martinius Stenshorne, driving for R-ace GP, won the Rookie Championship. The season was marred by the death of Dutch driver Dilano van 't Hoff during the second race of the Spa-Francorchamps round. Formula Regional European Championship
The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA) is a FIA-certified regional European Formula 3 racing series. On 12 October 2018 it was announced that the Italian autosport regulator Automobile Club d’Italia (ACI) and karting promoter WSK would organize the inaugural year of the championship in 2019. Their bid was chosen over Renault Sport's bid with the same chassis, who attracted fewer votes from Single-Seater Commission members. Following the 2020 season, the Formula Renault Eurocup merged with the Formula Regional European Championship to become the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. The championship's first season featured eight rounds on the circuits across Europe with half of them in Italy. The driver champions receive FIA Super License points. Michael Arnoldovich Belov (russian: Михаэль Арнольдович Белов, Mikhael Arnoldovich Belov; born 21 November 2001) is a Russian racing driver currently competing in the Formula Regional European Championship with G4 Racing. Career Formula 4 Belov started his professional single-seater career in the SMP F4 Championship in 2017 with the SMP Racing team. Belov claimed his first podium finish on the final race of the season with a third-place, finishing eighth overall in the championship. Tymoteusz "Tymek" Kucharczyk (born 27 February 2006) is a Polish racing driver who most recently competed in the GB3 Championship, driving for Douglas Motorsport. He made his car racing debut in the 2022 F4 Spanish Championship with MP Motorsport, where he came third. Lucas Medina Cristancho (born 4 August 2003) is a Colombian racing driver who most recently competed in the Formula Regional European Championship for Saintéloc Racing. Joshua Dürksen (born 27 October 2003) is a Paraguayan-German racing driver currently racing for Arden Motorsport in the Formula Regional European Championship. Career Formula 4 2019 In 2019 Dürksen made his single-seater debut, racing for Mücke Motorsport in the Formula 4 UAE Championship alongside Nico Göhler.
