The 2023 Challenge Tour was the 35th season of the Challenge Tour, the official development tour to the European Tour. Schedule The following table lists official events during the 2023 season. Rankings ''For full rankings, see 2023 Challenge Tour graduates.'' The rankings were titled as the Road to Mallorca and were based on tournament results during the season, calculated using a points-based system. The top 21 players on the rankings earned status to play on the 2024 European Tour (DP World Tour). Ricardo Gouveia (golfer)
Ricardo Melo Gouveia (born 6 August 1991) is a Portuguese professional golfer. Gouveia played college golf at Lynn University and the University of Central Florida. He played on the winning European team in the Palmer Cup in 2014. Gouveia turned professional in 2014 and plays on the Challenge Tour. He won his first tournament in his seventh start, playing on an invitation, at the EMC Golf Challenge Open in October 2014. Gouveia has featured in the Top 100 Official World Golf Ranking, reaching a height of 77th in 2016. Oliver Bekker
Oliver Bekker (born 11 December 1984) is a South African professional golfer. Professional career Bekker plays on the Sunshine Tour where he has won seven times. He won the 2011 Northern Cape Classic, the 2012 Dimension Data Pro-Am, the 2013 Telkom PGA Pro-Am and the 2016 Sun City Challenge. He won three times in 2017, the Zambia Sugar Open, the Lombard Insurance Classic, and the Sun Wild Coast Sun Challenge. In April 2021, Bekker lost in a four-man playoff at the Limpopo Championship. In December, he finished second in the SA Open Championship; one shot behind Daniel van Tonder. At the end of the season he graduated to the European Tour for 2022 via the Challenge Tour rankings. In May 2022, Bekker broke into the top 100 of the Official World Golf Ranking for the first time after losing out in a playoff for the Catalunya Championship. The Made in Denmark Challenge is a golf tournament on the Challenge Tour. It was first played in May 2015 at the Royal Golf Club in Copenhagen, Denmark. It moved to Aalborg Golf Club in 2016, Royal Oak Golf Club in 2017, Himmerland Golf & Spa Resort in 2018 and Silkeborg Ry Golfklub in 2019. Bo Jesper Svensson (born 14 March 1996) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. In 2023, he won the B-NL Challenge Trophy on the Challenge Tour and was runner-up at the Investec South African Open Championship. Early life and amateur career Svensson was born in Uppsala, Sweden. As a junior golfer, he won both the Swedish Junior Matchplay Championship at Vasatorp Golf Club, and the Swedish Junior Strokeplay Championship at Sollentuna Golf Club. B-NL Challenge Trophy
The B-NL Challenge Trophy was a golf tournament on the Challenge Tour, played in the Netherlands and Belgium in alternating years. The tournament was supported by the Netherlands Golf Federation (NGF) and the Royal Belgian Golf Federation (KBGF), the tournament was hosted in the Netherlands 2021 and 2023, and in Belgium 2022 (and had been planned to be again in 2024), following the cancellation of the 2020 event due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
