The 2023 Badminton Asia Championships (officially known as the KhiladiX.com Dubai Badminton Asia Championship 2023 Powered by Floki for sponsorship reasons) was a badminton tournament held at the Sheikh Rashid Bin Hamdan Indoor Hall in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 25 to 30 April 2023. Tournament The 2023 Badminton Asia Championships is the 40th edition of the Badminton Asia Championships. This tournament is hosted by the United Arab Emirates Badminton Federation, with the sanction of Badminton Asia. Venue This international tournament is held at the Sheikh Rashid Bin Hamdan Indoor Hall in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Rawinda Prajongjai ( th, รวินดา ประจงใจ; born 29 June 1993) is a Thai badminton player. She was part of the national women's team that clinched the gold medal at the 2015, 2017 and 2019 Southeast Asian Games, also won the women's doubles title in 2017. Lee So-hee (Hangul: 이소희; ; born 14 June 1994) is a South Korean badminton player. She won the women's doubles title at the 2017 All England Open tournament. She also helped the Korean national team to win the world team championships at the 2017 Sudirman Cup. She reached a career high of world no. 2 in the women's doubles in November 2017 partnered with Chang Ye-na. For her achievements in 2017, Lee who affiliated with the Incheon International Airport team, was awarded as the best player of the year by the Badminton Korea Association. As a junior player, Lee was a gold medalists at the 2012 Asian, 2011 and 2012 World Junior Championships in the girls' doubles event. Baek Ha-na (Hangul: 백하나; born 22 September 2000) is a South Korean badminton player who attended Cheongsong Girls' High School. She started playing badminton in 2009 after being recommended by her brother, and was selected to join the national team in 2017. Wang Chi-lin (; born 18 January 1995) is a Taiwanese badminton player who specializes in doubles. He is the 2020 Olympics men's doubles champion. Career In 2021, at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, he and his partner Lee Yang defeated the 2018 World Champions' Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen in the men's doubles final. They became the first unseeded pair to win a gold medal in the Olympics' men's doubles badminton. This was Chinese Taipei's first Olympic medal in badminton. Lee Yang (; born 12 August 1995) is a Taiwanese badminton player and 2020 Olympics men's doubles champion. Career Lee played in the men's doubles with Lee Jhe-huei. They were champions in 2016 at the Vietnam Open Grand Prix. In 2015, together they entered the 2015 Chinese Taipei Masters Grand Prix, 2015 Vietnam Open Grand Prix, and 2015 Korea Masters Grand Prix Gold. Teo Ee Yi (; born 4 April 1993) is a Malaysian badminton player. Teo won a bronze medal at the 2021 World Championships with his partner Ong Yew Sin. In the junior event, he captured the golds medal at the 2011 World Junior Championships in the team and boys' doubles events. Career Teo won his first Grand Prix title at the 2016 Bitburger Open with his partner, Ong Yew Sin.
