The 2022–23 Utah Jazz season is the 49th season for the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). On June 5, 2022, Quin Snyder resigned from his position as head coach of the Utah Jazz after eight seasons with the team. On June 29, 2022, the Utah Jazz hired Will Hardy as their head coach. For the first time since 2017–18 season Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell will not be on the roster as they were traded before the season. Draft The Jazz had no selections in the 2022 draft. They owed their first-round pick to the Memphis Grizzlies. Will Hardy
Will Hardy (born January 21, 1988) is an American professional basketball coach and former collegiate player who is the head coach for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Professional career San Antonio Spurs and Boston Celtics After graduating from Williams College, Hardy was connected with San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich through a member of the basketball staff at Williams College who was an associate of Popovich and recommended him for an internship thanks to his high basketball IQ. Hardy coached the Spurs Summer League team for several years while working in other roles for the main team. Before the 2021–22 NBA season, Hardy joined the Boston Celtics as assistant for head coach Ime Udoka. Kelly Olynyk
Kelly Tyler Olynyk ( ; born April 19, 1991) is a Canadian professional basketball player for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Gonzaga Bulldogs, where he earned NCAA All-American honors in 2013. After forgoing his senior year of college basketball, Olynyk was selected with the 13th overall pick by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2013 NBA draft, before being immediately traded to the Boston Celtics. In July 2017, he signed with the Miami Heat, with whom he reached the NBA Finals in 2020. In March 2021, Olynyk was traded to the Houston Rockets. Collin Sexton
Collin Darnell Sexton (born January 4, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Alabama Crimson Tide. In January 2017 Sexton was selected as a McDonald's All-American. Nicknamed the "Young Bull", he was selected with the 8th pick in the 2018 NBA draft by the Cavaliers. Early life Collin is the son of Darnell and Gia Sexton. Jared Gladwyn Butler (born August 25, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the Grand Rapids Gold of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Baylor Bears. As a junior in 2021, he was named a consensus first-team All-American and helped lead the Bears to a national championship. Butler was named the Final Four Most Outstanding Player (MOP). Moda Center, formerly known as the Rose Garden, is the primary indoor sports arena in Portland, Oregon, United States. Jordan Taylor Clarkson (born June 7, 1992) is a Filipino-American professional basketball player for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for two seasons with Tulsa before transferring to Missouri, where he earned second-team all-conference honors in the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
