The 2022–23 UEFA Champions League knockout phase will begin on 14 February with the round of 16 and end on 10 June 2023 with the 2023 UEFA Champions League Final, final at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey, to decide the champions of the 2022–23 UEFA Champions League. A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired.
