2022–23 SuperLega
The SuperLega Credem Banca 2022–23 was the 78th season of the highest tier domestic division in the Italian Men's Volleyball League system since establishment in 1946. The league organized under the supervision of Federazione Italiana Pallavolo. The season started on 1 October 2022. Conad Reggio Emilia was supposed to be promoted to SuperLega after winning the 2021–22 Serie A2 but their home arena failed to meet the standard of SuperLega. Hence, Emma Villas Aubay Siena was promoted to SuperLega instead. Itas Trentino defeated Cucine Lube Civitanova and won the three games of the best-of-five series of the final to reclaimed the SuperLega title after eight years. Former Antonveneta Padova is a professional volleyball team of Pallavolo Padova (until 1999 Petrarca Volley, until 2009 Sempre Volley), based in Padua, Italy. It plays in Italian Volleyball League. Gioiella Prisma Taranto is a professional Volleyball based in Taranto, Italy. It plays in Italian Volleyball League. It was created in 1997 under the name of Magna Grecia Volley, and now it is named Prisma Volley. History A first club was founded in 1997, by the president Antonio Di Battista, that moved the Magna Grecia Volley franchise from Matera to Taranto. The team, with the classical red and blu jerseys, start its first championship in Serie A2, achieving the promotion to Serie A1 at the end of 1999-2000 season. The team played two years in the first division with the sponsor names ''La Cascina'' and ''Vini Borgocanale'', before it went bankrupt. Allianz Cloud Arena
The Allianz Cloud Arena, formerly known as PalaLido, is a multi-purpose indoor arena that is located in the Italian city of Milan, capital of Lombardy. The arena's primary use is to host basketball and volleyball games, but it can also be used to host handball, tennis, gymnastics, and wrestling. Power Volley Milano is an Italian professional volleyball club based in Milan, Lombardy, Italy. They currently compete in the SuperLega, where they have been since the 2014–15 season. 2023–24 CEV Cup
The 2023–24 CEV Cup was the 52nd edition of the second most important European volleyball club competition organised by the European Volleyball Confederation. This year’s edition of the CEV Cup consisted of 44 teams, of which 29 teams qualified directly for the CEV Cup; 11 teams were the losers from the Champions League qualification phase; and the remaining 4 joined the rest in the quarterfinals, being transferred there from the Champions League group stage as the 3rd placed teams in their respective pools. Asseco Resovia won their maiden CEV Cup, beating SVG Lüneburg in the finals. Stéphen Boyer was named MVP of the final match.
