2022–23 Michigan Wolverines Men's Ice Hockey Season
The 2022–23 Michigan Wolverines men's hockey team was the Wolverines' 101st season of play. They represented the University of Michigan in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey season. They were coached by Brandon Naurato, in his first year as head coach, and played their home games at Yost Ice Arena. Previous season During the 2021–22 season, Michigan went 31–10–1, including 16–8–0 in Big Ten play. They won the 2022 Big Ten Men's Ice Hockey Tournament and received an automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament, where they reached their NCAA record 26th Frozen Four and were eliminated in the semifinals by eventual national champion Denver. The Michigan Wolverines men's ice hockey team is the college ice hockey team that represents the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Earning varsity status in 1922, the program has competed in 100 seasons. Between 1959 and 1981, the team competed in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) before joining the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) until the 2012–13 season.The Record Book

Matty Beniers
Matthew Beniers (; born November 5, 2002) is an American professional ice hockey center for the Seattle Kraken of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Kraken drafted Beniers second overall in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft with their first-ever selection in an entry draft. He played college ice hockey at Michigan. He won the Calder Memorial Trophy as rookie of the year in 2023. Early life Beniers grew up in Hingham, Massachusetts, where he started skating and playing hockey at a young age. Utica Comets
The Utica Comets are a professional ice hockey team based in Utica, New York, with home games at the Adirondack Bank Center. They are members of the North Division in the Eastern Conference of the American Hockey League (AHL) and affiliated with the National Hockey League's (NHL) New Jersey Devils. The team was established when the Vancouver Canucks relocated their AHL franchise to Utica for the 2013–14 season and remained until the 2020–21 season. Owen Power
Owen Power (born November 22, 2002) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League (NHL). He played college ice hockey for the University of Michigan. Power was drafted first overall by the Sabres in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Power grew up in Mississauga, Ontario. The Idaho Steelheads are an American professional minor league ice hockey team based in Boise, Idaho, and a member of the ECHL. The Steelheads play in the Mountain Division of the ECHL's Western Conference since the 2016–17 season. Brendan Brisson (born October 22, 2001) is an American ice hockey center for the Henderson Silver Knights of the American Hockey League (AHL) as a prospect for the Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League (NHL).
