2022–23 Hawaii Rainbow Wahine Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Hawaii Rainbow Wahine basketball team represented the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Rainbow Wahine, led by Laura Beeman in her 11th season as head coach, played their home games at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu as a member of the Big West Conference. The Wahine finished third in the Big West during the regular season and won the Big West tournament. They were eliminated in the first round of the NCAA tournament. Previous season The Rainbow Wahine finished the season with a 20–10 record, including a 13–3 mark in Big West conference play that netted them the regular season championship and the top overall seed in the Big West Conference tournament. Big West Conference
The Big West Conference (BWC) is an American collegiate athletic conference whose member institutions participate in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. The conference was originally formed on July 1, 1969, as the Pacific Coast Athletic Association (PCAA), and in 1988 was renamed the Big West Conference. The conference stopped sponsoring college football after the 2000 season. Among the conference's 11 member institutions, 10 are located in California (with 9 located in Southern California alone) and one is located in Hawaii. All of the schools are public universities, with the California schools evenly split between the California State University and the University of California systems. Centennial High School is a public secondary school located in unincorporated Clark County, Nevada, United States, in Las Vegas. The school serves about 3000 students in grades 9 to 12 in the Clark County School District. In 2000, the movie ''Pay It Forward'' was filmed at Centennial High. Kalani High School is a four-year public high school located in East Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. Kalani is a part of the Hawaii Department of Education. Kalani is located on Kalanianaole Highway. It is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Mullen High School (formerly J.K. Mullen High School) is a Roman Catholic, Brothers of the Christian Schools, college-preparatory high school in Denver, Colorado. It is run independently within the Archdiocese of Denver. History Mullen High School was named for John Kernan Mullen, businessman, philanthropist, and founder of the Colorado Milling and Elevator Company. The Seattle U Redhawks women's basketball is the women's basketball team representing Seattle University. They compete in the Western Athletic Conference. History The Redhawks returned to NCAA play the same as the athletic program, joining the WAC in 2012. They won the regular season title in 2013, though they lost in the conference tournament title game, losing 67–64 to Idaho. They were invited to the WNIT, their first ever postseason appearance in history. They lost 68–51 in the 2013 Women's National Invitation Tournament to Saint Mary's in the First Round. The Columbia Lions women's basketball team is the intercollegiate women's basketball program representing Columbia University. The school competes in the Ivy League in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Lions play home basketball games at the Levien Gymnasium in New York, New York, on the university campus. Columbia has won one Ivy League championship.
