2022–23 EuroCup Basketball
The 2022–23 EuroCup Basketball season was the 21st season of Euroleague Basketball's secondary level professional club basketball tournament. It is the 15th season since it was renamed from the ULEB Cup to the EuroCup, and the seventh and final season under the title sponsorship name of 7DAYS. The season began on 11 October 2022 and ended 3 May 2023. Gran Canaria defeated Türk Telekom in the final, which was played at the Gran Canaria Arena in Las Palmas, to win their first EuroCup title. As winners, Gran Canaria automatically qualified for the 2023–24 EuroLeague. The defending champions were Virtus Bologna, who were unable to defend their title as they played in the 2022–23 EuroLeague. Hapoel ( he, הפועל, lit. ''the worker'') is an Israeli Jewish sports association established in 1926 by the Histadrut Labor Federation. European Professional Club Basketball System
Professional basketball clubs in Europe can compete in a number of different competitions, including national leagues, regional (multi-national) leagues, and continental competitions. 2023–24 EuroCup Basketball
The 2023–24 EuroCup Basketball season will be the 22nd season of Euroleague Basketball's secondary level professional club basketball tournament. It is the 16th season since it was renamed from the ULEB Cup to the EuroCup, and the first season under the new title sponsorship name of BKT Dreamland Gran Canaria are the title holders and will be defending champions after refusing to take part in the 2023–24 EuroLeague via spot granted to the finalist. Format changes The format changes consisted of reformatting the Playoffs. Access to the stage has been reduced with only six teams per group qualifying instead of eight, with the top two from each group bypassing the Round of 16 and proceeding directly to the Quarterfinals.
