2022–23 Danish Cup
The 2022–23 Danish Cup, also known as Pokalen, was the 69th season of the Danish Cup competition. F.C. Copenhagen took the tournament, securing its 9th Cup with a 1–0 win over AaB and qualifying for the Europa Conference League second qualifying round. Structure 92 teams participate in the first round, coming from all levels of competition. Six additional teams will join in the second round, while the top six teams from the 2021–22 Danish Superliga enter in the third round. Participants 104 teams will compete for the Danish Cup. All teams from the top three divisions in 2021–22 were automatically entered, while 54 teams from lower division teams qualified through qualifying matches to enter the competition proper. Danish Cup
The Danish Cup ( da, Landspokalturneringen; often referred to as Pokalen) is the official "knockout" cup competition in Danish football, run by the Danish Football Association. The cup has been contested annually since 1955. The winner will qualify for the UEFA Europa League tournament the following year, where they (as of the 2009–10 season) will enter in the third qualifying round. The latest edition, 2017-18 Danish Cup, was won by Superliga-side Brøndby, beating Superliga-side Silkeborg 3–1 on 10 May 2018 at Parken Stadium, thereby winning their first domestic trophy since 2008. The final traditionally takes place on ''Kristi Himmelfarts Dag'' ( The Ascension) and it is always played in the Danish national stadium Parken. Idrætsforeningen Lyseng Fodbold (), commonly known as IF Lyseng, is an association football club based in the suburb of Højbjerg, Aarhus Municipality, Denmark, that competes in the Danish 3rd Division, the fourth tier of the Danish football league system. Akademisk Boldklub Gladsaxe (or AB) is a Danish professional football club from Gladsaxe north of Copenhagen, currently playing at the 3rd highest level of Danish domestic football in the Danish 2nd Division group 1. 2021–22 Danish 2nd Division
The 2021–22 Danish 2nd Division will start with a group of twelve teams. After 22 rounds the group will be split in a promotion group and a relegation group. The top two teams of the promotion group will be promoted to the 2022–23 Danish 1st Division. Participants Kolding IF and Skive IK finished the 2020–21 season of the Danish 1st Division in 11th and 12th place, respectively, and were relegated to the 2nd Division. They replaced Nykøbing FC and Jammerbugt FC, who were promoted to the 2021–22 Danish 1st Division.
