The 2022–23 Cleveland Cavaliers season is the 53rd season for the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). This season, the Cavaliers made a blockbuster move to bring Donovan Mitchell to the Cavaliers in exchange for Ochai Agbaji, Collin Sexton, Lauri Markkanen and future picks. On March 14, 2023 The Cleveland Cavaliers matched their win total of last season with a 120-104 win over the Charlotte Hornets to improve to 44-27. Koby Altman
Koby Altman (born September 16, 1982) is the President of Basketball Operations of the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Early life Altman was raised in Brooklyn, New York. Altman received his bachelor's degree at Middlebury College as a Posse Foundation Scholar, where he was a three-year starter at point guard for the basketball team. After graduation, he went into real estate investment sales for three years. He then went to the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass), earning a master's degree in sports management. During that time, he was an assistant coach at nearby Amherst College. After his graduation from UMass, Altman continued in college coaching for several years, first as a graduate assistant at Southern Illinois in 2009–10 and then as a full-time assistant at Columbia. Mamadi Diakite (born January 21, 1997) is a Guinean professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA), on a two-way contract with the Cleveland Charge of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Virginia Cavaliers men's basketball, Virginia Cavaliers, with whom he won an March Madness, NCAA National Championship in 2019. Darius Kinnard Garland (born January 26, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Vanderbilt Commodores. Born in Gary, Indiana, Garland is the son of former professional basketball player Winston Garland. Jarrett Allen (born April 21, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Texas Longhorns. Allen was selected 22nd overall by the Brooklyn Nets in the 2017 NBA draft. Kevin Wesley Love (born September 7, 1988) is an American professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Perth Wildcats are an Australian professional basketball team based in Perth, Western Australia. The Wildcats compete in the National Basketball League (NBL) and play their home games at RAC Arena, known colloquially as "The Jungle". Luke Jacob Travers (born 3 September 2001) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Perth Wildcats of the National Basketball League (NBL).
