The 2022–23 Brooklyn Nets season is the 47th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA), 56th season overall, and its 11th season playing in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. On November 1, 2022, Steve Nash was fired as the Nets' head coach after the team started the season with a 2–5 record and was replaced by Jacque Vaughn on an interim basis. Steve Nash
Stephen John Nash (born 7 February 1974) is a Canadian professional basketball coach and former player who most recently served as head coach of the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played 18 seasons in the NBA, where he was an eight-time All-Star and a seven-time All-NBA selection. Nash was a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player while playing for the Phoenix Suns. After a successful high school basketball career in British Columbia, Nash earned a scholarship to Santa Clara University in California. In his four seasons with the Broncos, the team made three NCAA tournament appearances, and he was twice named the West Coast Conference (WCC) Player of the Year. Nash graduated from Santa Clara as the team's all-time leader in assists and was taken as the 15th pick in the 1996 NBA draft by the Phoenix Suns. Chris Chiozza
Christopher Xavier Chiozza (born November 21, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for UCAM Murcia CB of the Liga ACB. He played college basketball for the Florida Gators. Chiozza won an NBA championship with the Warriors in 2022. High school career Chiozza attended White Station High School, where he was coached by Jesus Patino. He also played on the Team Thad AAU team. As a junior, in the wake of his grandmother's death, he posted averages of 27 points, seven assists and seven steals in an important Pittsburgh tournament and began to get major college looks. He averaged 15 points and eight assists per game as a senior. FedExForum is a multi-purpose arena located in Downtown Memphis, Tennessee. It is the home of the Memphis Grizzlies of the NBA and the NCAA Division I men's basketball program of the University of Memphis, both of whom previously played home games at the Memphis Pyramid. The venue also has the capability of hosting ice hockey games, concerts, and family shows. The arena officially opened in September 2004 after much debate and also a derecho wind storm on July 22, 2003, that nearly brought down the cranes that were building it near the famed Beale Street. Day'Ron Yusha Sharpe (born November 6, 2001) is an American professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels. High school career Sharpe began his high school career playing for South Central High School in Winterville, North Carolina. As a sophomore, he averaged 14.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
