2022 USF Juniors
The 2022 USF Juniors championship was the inaugural season of USF Juniors. It became the new first rung of the Road to Indy ladder. The season featured a six-round 16-race calendar, which began April 23 at Ozarks International Raceway and concluded on September 18 at the Circuit of the Americas. Drivers and teams Schedule * The round at Ozarks International Raceway was scheduled to have 3 races, but the third race was cancelled due to poor weather conditions. To make up for the cancelled race, a third race was added for the event at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. USF Juniors
The USF Juniors championship, also known as USF Juniors presented by Cooper Tires for sponsorship reasons, is an American auto racing series running with USF2000 cars (as of 2023). The series inaugurated in 2022 as a new first rung of the Road to Indy, below the USF2000 Championship. The series is owned by Andersen Promotions and sanctioned by USAC. Series founder Dan Andersen cited the need for one more step on the Road to Indy ladder after karting due to the increasingly competitive nature of the previous first run, the USF2000 Championship as a primary factor for forming the series. Barber Motorsports Park
Barber Motorsports Park is an multi-purpose racing facility located in Birmingham, Alabama. It was built by George W. Barber, and includes the Barber Vintage Motorsport Museum. It has been the site of the IndyCar Series' Grand Prix of Alabama since 2010. ThAnnual Barber Vintage Festivalhas taken place at the park each October since 2005. In motorsport, the fastest lap is the quickest lap run during a race. Some racing series, like Formula One, Formula 2 and Formula E award championship points for a driver or team that set the fastest lap. Elkhart Lake is a village in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, United States, located within the northwestern part of the county within the Town of Rhine. The population was 967 at the 2010 census. Road America
Road America is a motorsport road course located near Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, United States on Wisconsin Highway 67. It has hosted races since the 1950s and currently hosts races in the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series, WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, IndyCar Series, SCCA Pirelli World Challenge, ASRA, AMA Superbike series, and SCCA Pro Racing's Trans-Am Series. Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is a road course auto racing facility located in Troy Township, Morrow County, Ohio, United States, just outside the village of Lexington. Virginia International Raceway (commonly known as "VIR") is a race track located in Alton, Virginia, near Danville.
