The 2022 Tour of Norway is a men's road cycling stage race which takes place from 24 to 29 May 2022. It is the 11th edition of the Tour of Norway, which is rated as a 2.Pro event on the 2022 UCI ProSeries calendar. 2022 UCI ProSeries
The 2022 UCI ProSeries is the third season of the UCI ProSeries, the second tier road cycling tour, below the UCI World Tour, but above the various regional UCI Continental Circuits. The original calendar consisted of 56 events, of which 30 are one-day races (1.Pro), and 26 are stage races (2.Pro). Voss () is a municipality and a traditional district in Vestland county, Norway. The administrative center of the municipality is the village of Vossevangen. Hovden is a village in the municipality of Bykle in Agder county, Norway. Gaustatoppen
Gaustatoppen is the highest mountain in the county Vestfold og Telemark in Norway which lies in the municipality Tinn and Hjartdal. The view from the summit is impressive, as one can see an area of approximately 60,000 km², one sixth of Norway's mainland. The mountain is popular for downhill skiing in winter, and competitions have been held on its slopes. These competitions include the " Norseman triathlon", billed as "the world's most brutal iron-distance triathlon". It starts in Eidfjord and finishes at the top of Gaustatoppen. The summit is accessible on foot in the summer, on a rocky pathway of medium difficulty, although the southern side of the mountain is very dangerous and inaccessible. Gol, Norway
is a municipality in Buskerud in Viken county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Hallingdal. Ethan Hayter
Ethan Edward Hayter (born 18 September 1998) is a British racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Hayter started riding at Herne Hill Velodrome in 2012, aged 13. He raced for the VC Londres cycling club from 2012 to 2016, and remains an honorary member. In 2016 he joined British Cycling's Senior Academy squad, relinquishing his A-level studies in order to join the programme. He rode in the men's team pursuit event at the 2018 UCI Track Cycling World Championships, winning a gold medal. In August 2018 it was reported that Hayter had joined as a ''stagiaire'' until the end of the year. That month he also competed at the European Track Championships in Glasgow, where he took bronze medals as part of the British team pursuit squad, the Madison pairing alongside Oliver Wood and an individual gold in the omnium. Geilo
is a centre in the municipality of Hol in Viken county, Norway. Geilo is primarily a ski resort town, with around 2,500 inhabitants. It is situated in the valley of Hallingdal, 250 km from Oslo and 260 km from Bergen. The Bergen Line facilitated Geilo's development as the first skiing resort in the country, and it is still one of the largest.
