2022 Tour De Langkawi
The 2022 Tour de Langkawi (known as the Petronas Le Tour de Langkawi for sponsorship reasons) was a road cycling stage race that took place from 11 to 18 October 2022 in Malaysia. The race is a category 2.Pro-rated event as part of the 2022 UCI ProSeries, and is the 26th edition of the Tour de Langkawi. The race returned after a one-year hiatus, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Malaysia, and is making its second appearance in the UCI ProSeries. In late January, race organisers postponed the Tour de Langkawi, originally scheduled for 3–10 March, to 11–18 June, due to a surge in COVID-19 pandemic cases. It was postponed again, to mid-October, due to time conflicts with other cycling championships. Teams Six of the 18 UCI WorldTeams, four UCI ProTeams, seven UCI Continental teams, and three national teams make up the 20 teams that are participating in the race. The 2022 UCI ProSeries is the third season of the UCI ProSeries, the second tier road cycling tour, below the UCI World Tour, but above the various regional UCI Continental Circuits. The original calendar consisted of 56 events, of which 30 are one-day races (1.Pro), and 26 are stage races (2.Pro). There are 47 events in Europe, six in Asia, two in the United States, and one in Argentina. The ''Malay Mail'' is a newspaper in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, first published on 1 December 1896 when Kuala Lumpur was the capital of the then new Federated Malay States, making it the first daily newspaper to appear in the FMS. Kuala Pilah (town)
Kuala Pilah (Negeri Sembilan Malay: ''Kolo Pilah''), or simply Pilah, is a town in Kuala Pilah District, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. Townscape Kuala Pilah is an old valley town with many of the pre-war Chinese shop houses still fronting the main streets surrounded by traditional style Malay village houses built on stilts nestled among extensive rice fields. It has a sizeable Chinese community that has existed since the mining days during the early British rule. This community today engages in trading and providing essential services such as workshops, hairdressing and coffee shops. The town is especially busy on weekends due to the flood of folks returning from Kuala Lumpur, usually to visit their parents or to tend to their family plots, where around the area is mostly Malays that migrated to Kuala Lumpur in search of better prospects and 'the bright lights'.
