2022 Saskatchewan Roughriders Season
The 2022 Saskatchewan Roughriders season was the 64th season for the team in the Canadian Football League. It was the club's 113th year overall, and its 106th season of play. The Roughriders were eliminated from post-season contention on October 22, 2022, following a loss to the Calgary Stampeders. The Roughriders failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time since 2016. The 2022 CFL season was the third season under head coach Craig Dickenson and general manager Jeremy O'Day. West Division (CFL)
The West Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League (CFL), its counterpart being the East Division. Although the CFL was not founded until 1958, the West Division and its clubs are descended from earlier leagues. The five teams in the West Division are the BC Lions, Calgary Stampeders, Edmonton Elks, Saskatchewan Roughriders, and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Jordan Genmark Heath
Jordan Genmark Heath (born December 16, 1997) is a Swedish professional gridiron football linebacker. He played college football for Notre Dame and UCLA. He played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) in 2022 and Philadelphia Stars of the United States Football League (USFL) in 2023. Samuel Emilus
Samuel Emilus (born October 25, 1997) is a professional Canadian football wide receiver for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). College career Emilus played college football for the UMass Minutemen from 2018 to 2020. He played in 22 games, starting in 13, where he recorded 59 receptions for 653 yards and seven touchdowns, six kick returns for 114 yards, and four punt returns for 57 yards. As a graduate, he transferred to Louisiana Tech University in 2021 to play for the Bulldogs football team. He played in eight games, starting two, where he had 18 catches for 257 yards and three touchdowns. 2021 CFL Season
The 2021 CFL season was the 67th season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it was the 63rd season of the Canadian Football League. The regular season began on August 5, 2021, and ended November 20, 2021. Each team played 14 regular season games over 16 weeks. Previously, the season was scheduled to begin on June 10, 2021, and end on October 30, 2021, with 18 games being played per team over 21 weeks, but this was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. 2022 CFL Draft
The 2022 CFL National Draft was a selection of National players by Canadian Football League (CFL) teams that took place on May 3, 2022, at 8:00 pm ET and was broadcast on TSN and RDS. 74 players were chosen from among eligible players from Canadian Universities across the country, as well as Canadian players playing in the NCAA. The draft was broadcast live on TSN for the first two rounds.
