The 2022 Postnord UCI WWT Vårgårda West Sweden was a women's bicycle race and was the 18th round of the 2022 UCI Women's World Tour. It was held on 7 August 2022, in Vårgårda, Sweden, the day after the 2022 Postnord Vårgårda WestSweden TTT. 2022 UCI Women's World Tour
The 2022 UCI Women's World Tour is a competition that includes twenty-five road cycling events throughout the 2022 women's cycling season. It is the seventh edition of the UCI Women's World Tour, the ranking system launched by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in 2016. The competition will begin with Strade Bianche on 5 March, and finishes with the Tour de Romandie Féminin on 9 October. Events The race calendar for the 2022 season was announced in June 2021, with twenty-four races initially scheduled – up from eighteen that were held in 2021. In September 2021, the Tour de Romandie Féminin was added to make a total of twenty-five races. The two Chinese races were cancelled in June 2022, making a total of twenty three races. Open de Suède Vårgårda is an elite professional women's road bicycle event held annually in the Vårgårda Municipality of Sweden. Emilia Fahlin (born 24 October 1988) is a Swedish road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Fahlin has won the Swedish National Road Race Championships three times (2008, 2013, 2018) and the Swedish National Time Trial Championships three times in a row from 2009 to 2011. Career Born in Örebro, Sweden, Fahlin competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London during the women's road race, finishing 19th, and in the women's time trial, finishing 17th. At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, she finished 27th in the Women's road race. Tamara Dronova (russian: Тамара Дронова, née Balabolina; born 13 August 1993) is a Russian track and road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's Continental Team in road racing, and UCI Track Team Marathon–Tula in track cycling. Audrey Cordon-Ragot (née Cordon; born 22 September 1989) is a French road bicycle racer, who rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Career She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Women's road race, but finished over the time limit. In the Women's time trial she finished 15th. In 2013, Cordon won the general classification of the five-day Tour de Bretagne Féminin.
