The 2022 Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championship was an international jiu-jitsu event, organised by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJFF), held at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, Florida, from 6-10 April 2022. History The Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championship is considered the second most important tournament after the world championship on the IBJJF calendar. Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championship
The Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championship or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Pan American Championship (commonly known as Pan Ams or Pans), is the largest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament held in North America. The event is held annually by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation. History Representing one of the first steps toward internationalisation of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the Pan-American Championship has been held annually since 1995. While the first event garnered only 250 athletes, the event has grown every year with the 2022 edition in Florida reporting over 4,600 jiu-jitsu athletes registered to compete. The Pan Championship is one of the four IBJJF “Grand Slam” events, which include European Jiu-Jitsu Championship, Brazilian National Jiu-Jitsu Championship and World Jiu-Jitsu Championship. Matheus Diniz
Matheus Oliveira Diniz (born 8 April 1993) is a Brazilian submission wrestler and Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) black belt competitor. His most notable achievement is winning the 2019 ADCC World Championship in the Middleweight division as well as being a medalist at the IBJJF World Championships in both Gi and No-Gi formats. Background Diniz was born on 8 April 1993 in Uberlândia, State of Minas Gerais, Brazil. During his early years, his family moved to Formiga. Chloé McNally is an American competitor of Brazilian jiu-jitsu. A No-Gi World Champion, IBJJF Pan American Champion and Brazilian National Champion in colored belts, McNally is a two-time World Jiu-Jitsu Championship and Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championship black belt medallist. Ffion Davies (born 18 January 1995) is a Welsh submission grappler, mixed martial artist and a world-champion Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) competitor. She has won the World Championship twice. It was founded in 2008 by Leo Vieira, who leads Checkmat with his brothers Ricardo Vieira and Leandro Vieira. Jessamine Jada Khan (born 8 October 2001), often shortened as Jessa Khan ( km, ខាន់ ចេសា, Khăn Chésa ), is an American-born Cambodian jiu-jitsu athlete. She is the 2023 IBJJF World Champion. Career Khan represented Cambodia at the 2018 Asian Games and claimed a gold medal in the women's 49kg ne-waza event.
