2022 New Hampshire Gubernatorial Election
The 2022 New Hampshire gubernatorial election was held on November 8, 2022, to elect the governor of New Hampshire. As New Hampshire does not have gubernatorial term limits, incumbent Republican Governor Chris Sununu won re-election to a fourth 2-year term in office against Democratic nominee Tom Sherman with 15.5% margin. Despite still being a massive win it was less than half of what he won by in 2020. Sununu had 'expressed interest' in running for the U.S. Senate in 2022 against incumbent Democrat (and former governor) Maggie Hassan. However, on November 9, 2021, he announced that he would instead run for a fourth term as governor. Sununu became the first Republican to win a fourth term as governor, and also tying John Lynch's modern record of four terms overall. Brentwood, New Hampshire
Brentwood is a town in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. At the 2020 census, its population was 4,490. Brentwood has been the county seat of Rockingham County since 1997. History An Abenaki tribe called the Pennacook farmed, fished and hunted in what is now Brentwood. Two main foot trails ran through the town, one along the Exeter River, where arrowheads and other stone and wooden artifacts have been found. At Pickpocket Dam, this pathway joined with the Pentucket Trail leading south to Pentucket (now Haverhill, Massachusetts) and north further into Pennacook territory. The first non-native settlers came in 1652 to start a sawmill powered by a waterfall on the Exeter River. The New Hampshire Senate has been meeting since 1784. It is the upper house of the New Hampshire General Court, alongside the lower New Hampshire House of Representatives. Scott Philip Brown (born September 12, 1959) is an American diplomat, attorney, and politician who served as the United States Ambassador to New Zealand and Samoa. WMUR-TV (channel 9) is a television station licensed to Manchester, New Hampshire, United States, broadcasting ABC programming to most of New Hampshire. The 2020 New Hampshire gubernatorial election was held on November 3, 2020, to elect the governor of New Hampshire. Incumbent Republican Party (United States), Republican Governor Chris Sununu was re-elected to a third two-year term in office, defeating his opponent Dan Feltes, the Majority Leader of the Senate. Nine governors ran for re-election in 2020 United States gubernatorial elections, this cycle and all nine were re-elected.
