2022 NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship
The 2022 NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship was the 42nd annual tournament organized by the NCAA, to determine the national champion of Division I women's college field hockey in the United States. The semi-finals and championship match will be played at the Sherman Complex at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut on November 18 and 20, 2022. Lehigh made their debut appearance in the national championship tournament. North Carolina Tar Heels Field Hockey
The North Carolina Tar Heels field hockey team represent the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the Atlantic Coast Conference of NCAA Division I field hockey. History Field hockey has been played at the University of North Carolina since the 1940s, but it only became a varsity sport in 1971 when the school was a charter member of the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW). The team won several state AIAW championships and finished second twice in the AIAW Southern Region II tournament before joining the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for the 1982 season. Stadium Originally operated as Navy Field, it was redeveloped as a multi-use stadium, Francis E. Henry Stadium, primarily for the use by field hockey. Liberty Flames Field Hockey
The Liberty Flames and Lady Flames are the athletics teams of Liberty University, in Lynchburg, Virginia, United States. They are a member of the NCAA Division I level in 20 sports. LU is a member of the ASUN Conference for most sports. Two sports that are not sponsored by the ASUN are housed elsewhere. Women's swimming competes in the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association. Syracuse Orange Field Hockey
The Syracuse Orange field hockey team is the intercollegiate field hockey program representing Syracuse University. The school competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference of NCAA Division I field hockey. The team plays its home games at the J.S. Coyne Stadium on the university campus in Syracuse, New York. Syracuse has won one NCAA Championship as well as 9 conference regular season titles and 6 conference tournaments since the creation of the field hockey program in 1972. The Patriot League is a collegiate athletic conference comprising private institutions of higher education and two United States service academies based in the Northeastern United States. Rider Broncs
The Rider Broncs are the athletic teams of Rider University, a private nonsectarian university in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, United States. The school is a Division I member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and its athletes compete in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).
