2022 Mr. Olympia
The 2022 Mr. Olympia contest was an IFBB Pro League professional bodybuilding competition and expo held from December 15–18, 2022, at the Planet Hollywood Las Vegas, in Paradise, Nevada. Concurrently, the Olympia fitness expo was held at the Las Vegas Convention Center. It was the 58th Mr. Olympia competition held. Other events at the exhibition included the 2022 212 Olympia Showdown, as well as finals in Men's Classic, Men's Physique, 2022 Ms. Olympia, Fitness, 2022 Figure, 2022 Bikini Olympia, among other contests. Venue The Olympia made a return to its traditional hosting venue in Las Vegas, Nevada, after spending two years in Orlando, Florida, due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Having overcome the challenges of previous years, the event returned to its pre-COVID size with many competitors and fans from across the world in attendance. Professional bodybuilding or pro bodybuilding can refer to bodybuilding for an income and/or possessing qualifications such as an IFBB or Wabba International Pro Card. A professional bodybuilder may be one who earns his or her primary income from bodybuilding. Derek Lunsford (born May 14, 1993) is an American professional bodybuilder who competes in the men's open bodybuilding division in the IFBB Pro League. He won the 2023 Mr. Olympia and 212 Mr. Olympia in 2021, becoming the first winner of the competition in two divisions. Biography Derek Lunsford was born in Petersburg, Indiana on May 14, 1993. He was an active child who participated in various sports, including soccer and high school wrestling. Jason Isaac Cutler (born August 3, 1973) is an American retired professional bodybuilder. Cutler is a four-time Mr. Olympia winner, having won in 2006, 2007, 2009, and 2010; and a six-time runner-up. Early life Jason Isaac Cutler was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on August 3, 1973. He grew up in nearby Sterling and attended Wachusett Regional High School in Holden. Mamdouh Mohammed Hassan Elssbiay ( ar, ممدوح محمد حسن السبيعي; born 16 September 1984), also known as Big Ramy, is an Egyptian IFBB professional bodybuilder. He is a two time Mr. Olympia champion, winning in 2020 and 2021. Early life Mamdouh Mohammed Hassan Elssbiay was born on 16 September 1984 in Al-Sebea, a town in Kafr El Sheikh. He worked as a fisherman before moving to Kuwait, where he started to train professionally in Kuwait City in 2009.
