Defending champion Leylah Fernandez defeated Camila Osorio in the final, 6–7(5–7), 6–4, 7–6(7–3) to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Monterrey Open. Fernandez saved five championship points en route to the title, all in the final set. Leylah Annie Fernandez (born 6 September 2002) is a Canadian professional tennis player. She has a career-high ranking of No. 13 by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), achieved on 8 August 2022. Wang Qiang (; ; born 14 January 1992) is a Chinese professional tennis player. She has won two singles titles on the WTA Tour, one WTA 125 singles title, and 13 singles titles and one doubles title on the ITF Circuit. Wang Xinyu (, ; born 26 September 2001) is a Chinese tennis player.
