Variety show, also known as variety arts or variety entertainment, is entertainment made up of a variety of acts including musical theatre, musical performances, sketch comedy, magic (illusion), magic, acrobatics, juggling, and ventriloquism. It is normally introduced by a Master of Ceremonies, compère (master of ceremonies) or Television presenter, host. The variety format made its way from the Victorian era stage in Britain and America to radio and then television. Park Na-rae (; born on October 25, 1985) is a South Korean comedian, signed to JDB Entertainment. Early life and education As a teenager, Park attended . After successfully graduating from Anyang Arts High School, she went on to study at Sangmyung University. Career In 2006, Park made her debut on Gag Concert as a comedienne, after successfully auditioning for the 21st class of comedians. In 2018, Park published a book titled ''Welcome to Narae Bar''. Jang Yoon-jeong (singer)
Jang Yoon-jeong (, born February 16, 1980) is a South Korean trot singer, commonly referred to as “The Queen of Trot”. Jang debuted in 1999 and became well-known in 2004 when her single "Eomeona!" ("Oh My Goodness!") topped the charts. The song is often credited with helping re-popularize trot music in South Korea. ''The King of Mask Singer'' () is a South Korean singing competition program presented by Kim Sung-joo, with introductions by voice actor . It airs on MBC on Sunday, starting from April 5, 2015 as a part of MBC's '' Sunday Night'' programming block. Format Each competition lasts for two episodes, with the singers competing one-on-one in three elimination rounds. They are given elaborate masks which are made by designer and gloves to wear in order to conceal their identity, thus removing factors such as popularity, career and age that could lead to prejudiced voting.
