2022 MAC Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2022 Mid-American Conference men's basketball tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Mid-American Conference (MAC) held March 10–12, 2022. The entire tournament was played at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio. The tournament champion, the Akron Zips, received the conference's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA tournament where they lost in the first round to UCLA. Format As with the 2021 tournament, only the top eight teams qualify. The winner of the tournament will receive the MAC's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA tournament. Venue The 2022 MAC tournament is scheduled to be held at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse for the 23rd consecutive season. The venue, located in downtown Cleveland at One Center Court, is the home of the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and has a seating capacity for basketball of 19,432. Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse is a multi-purpose arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The building is the home of the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League (AHL). It also serves as a secondary arena for Cleveland State Vikings men's and women's basketball. 2021–22 Ohio Bobcats Men's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 Ohio University Bobcats men's basketball team represented Ohio University for the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bobcats were led by third-year head coach Jeff Boals, who was a 1995 graduate of Ohio University. The team played their home games at the Convocation Center in Athens, Ohio as a member of the Mid-American Conference. The 2022 MAC women's basketball tournament was the postseason basketball tournament that ends the 2021–22 college basketball season in the Mid-American Conference. The entire tournament was held at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, in Cleveland, Ohio between March 9 and 12. Sincere Carry
Sincere Carry (born September 15, 1999) is an American basketball player who is a free agent. He played college basketball for the Kent State Golden Flashes and the Duquesne Dukes. Early life and high school career Carry grew up in Hermitage, Pennsylvania and became friends with Kevin Bekelja's son Mike. When Bekelja moved to Solon, Ohio, he asked Carry's mother if he could take him with him and become his legal guardian, and she agreed. In sixth grade, Carry was a top player, with a highlight video garnering thousands of views on YouTube. Mark Sears
Mark Sears (born February 19, 2002) is an American college basketball player for the Alabama Crimson Tide of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). He previously played for the Ohio Bobcats. High school career Sears began his high school career at Muscle Shoals High School in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. In February 2019, he recorded 31 points, 12 rebounds and five assists in a 64–52 win over Bessemer City High School in the Class 6A Northwest Regional championship. As a junior, he led the team to the Class 6A state semifinal. In August 2019, it was announced that Sears was no longer enrolled at the school. He subsequently transferred to Hargrave Military Academy.
