2022 Kazakhstan Premier League
The 2022 Kazakhstan Premier League is the 31st season of the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest football league competition in Kazakhstan. FC Tobol are the defending champions after winning their second title the previous season. Events On 11 March, Shakhter Karagandy were awarded a 3-0 technical victory over Astana after Astana fielded seven Foreign Players on the pitch at the same time during their match on 5 March 2022. Teams FC Kaisar (relegated after five years in the top flight) and Zhetysu (relegated after four years in the top flight) were relegated at the end of the 2021 season. They were replaced by Aksu and Maktaaral from the Kazakhstan First League (both promoted to the top division for the first time in their history). The Kazakhstan Professional Football League ( kk, Қазақстан Премьер Лигасы, ''Qazaqstan Premer Ligasy''), commonly referred to as Kazakh Premier League or simply Premier League, is the top division of football in Kazakhstan. The League is controlled by the Football Federation of Kazakhstan and was set up in 1992. The League is fed into by the First Division and starts in spring and finishes in late autumn because of the low temperatures in the winter, with each championship corresponding to a calendar year. The majority of matches have been played at weekends in recent seasons. 2023 Kazakhstan Premier League
The 2023 Kazakhstan Premier League was the 32nd season of the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest football league competition in Kazakhstan. The winners ( Ordabasy) qualified for the first qualifying round of the Champions League. The 2023 Kazakhstan Cup winners (Tobol) qualified for the first qualifying round of the 2024–25 UEFA Europa League. The runners-up (Astana) qualified for the second qualifying round of the 2024–25 UEFA Conference League, with the third-placed team (Aktobe) qualifying for the first qualifying round. The bottom three teams ( Aksu, Caspiy, and Okzhetpes) and Maktaaral (relegated due to failing licensing process for the 2024 season) were relegated to the 2024 Kazakhstan First Division. Petr Atoyan Stadium
Petr Atoyan Stadium is a football stadium in Oral, Kazakhstan. It is the home stadium of FC Akzhayik of the Kazakhstan Premier League and was opened 1927. The stadium holds 8,320 spectators. In 1996 it was renamed Petr Atojan, an honorary citizen of Uralsk. History The stadium is the oldest of all currently active stadiums in Kazakhstan. It opened on 29 May 1927 with a game between the city team and the cavalry regiment team. All Urals football clubs that took part in the USSR championship and later in Kazakhstan played their home games in this stadium. The stadium also hosts athletics competitions at city and regional level. Ball hockey, basketball and handball tournaments have been held at the stadium at various times. Oral ( kz, Орал, translit=Oral ), known in Russian as Uralsk, is a city in northwestern Kazakhstan, at the confluence of the Ural and Chagan rivers close to the Russian border. Aktobe ( kz, Ақтөбе, Aqtöbe; russian: Актобе, Aktobe) is a city on the Ilek River in Kazakhstan. It is the administrative center of Aktobe Region. In 2020, it had a population of 500,757 people. Aktobe is located in the west of Kazakhstan. The area of the city is about 428,469 km2. There are two water reservoirs: Aktobe and Sazdy. Pavlodar Central Stadium ( kk, Орталық стадион, ''Ortalyq stadıon'') is a multi-purpose stadium in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan. The former name of the stadium was "Traktor". It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of FC Irtysh. History The football arena has been in use since 1947. "Central" was refurbished in 2001, 2007 and 2015. Football Club Caspiy ( kk, Каспий Ақтау Футбол Клубы, ''Kaspıı Aqtaý Fýtbol Klýby'') is a Kazakhstani football club based at the Zhastar Stadium in Aktau.
