2022 KBO League Season
The 2022 KBO League season was the 41st season in the history of the KBO League. The regular season began on April 2 and ended on October 11. A postseason then followed, culminating with the championship Korean Series. KT Wiz entered the season as defending champions. Season format No changes were made to the league's makeup from the prior season, with the same 10 teams competing. Each team is scheduled to play 144 games, via facing every other team 16 times. The league announced some operational changes: * If two teams are tied for the final playoff spot (5th place), the teams will play a single-game tiebreaker. ** If more than two teams are tied for the final playoff spot, mathematical tiebreakers will be used. * The number of replay review officials used by the league was increased from three to five (one per game). * Games will only be canceled (such as due to COVID-19 effects) if a team is unable to dress 28 players. KBO League
The KBO League (), officially the Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League, is the highest level league of baseball in South Korea. The KBO League was founded with six franchises in 1982 and is the most popular sports league in South Korea. The Kia Tigers are the most successful team, having won 11 of the 40 championships. NC Dinos
The NC Dinos ( ko, NC 다이노스) are a South Korean professional baseball team based in Changwon. They are a member of the KBO League. Since 2019, their home stadium is Changwon NC Park. NC Dinos are owned by video game developer NCSoft Corporation. History On 1 July 2010, the cities of Changwon, Masan and Jinhae were integrated into one city, Changwon. As a result of the integration, Changwon became the eleventh largest city in South Korea. Afterward, Changwon drove forward the project, which attracted a baseball team in the city. On 22 December 2010, video game company NCSoft submitted a plan that it wanted to found a baseball team that would be later admitted to the Korea Baseball Organization as a member franchise. Incheon SSG Landers Field
The Incheon SSG Landers Field is a baseball stadium located in Incheon, South Korea. Formerly named the Munhak Baseball Stadium, it is the home of the KBO League team SSG Landers. The stadium has been remodeled with Shinsegae affiliate brands, including Starbucks, No Brand Burger, and the convenience store e-mart 24. The SSG Landers Field has changed its main theme color to red and yellow, which represents the team's historical color used since the SK Wyverns. Jamsil Baseball Stadium
Jamsil Baseball Stadium () is a baseball stadium located at 25 Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul, South Korea. The stadium holds 25,000 people and was built from April 1980 to July 1982. It makes up the Seoul Sports Complex along with the nearby Seoul Olympic Stadium, and hosted the baseball events during the 1988 Summer Olympics.
