2022 FIBA AmeriCup
The 2022 FIBA AmeriCup was the 19th edition of the FIBA AmeriCup, the main tournament for senior men's basketball national teams of the FIBA Americas. The tournament was played in Recife, Brazil, as Brasília was dropped as a second host city months before the tournament. It was originally scheduled to take place in 2021, but it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic to 2 to 11 September 2022. The 2022 FIBA AmeriCup concluded with Argentina winning the final against Brazil to win their third title. The United States secured the bronze medal with a victory over Canada. CB Clavijo
Club Baloncesto Clavijo is a professional Basketball team based in Logroño, La Rioja. The team currently plays in league LEB Oro. History Founded in 1967, CB Clavijo started their first years playing in the provincial league and after achieving several promotions, reaches the Segunda División, third tier, in 1977. It played nine seasons, qualifying twice for the promotion playoffs to the second league, but after 1986 starts declining until 1998, when a group of former players and directors planned to take the helm of the club and to take it to the top divisions. In 2001, Clavijo clinched the promotion to Liga EBA, where it played two seasons with former FC Barcelona player Salva Díez as part of the roster of the club. Pablo Prigioni (born May 17, 1977) is an Argentine-Italian former professional basketball player, currently serving as an assistant coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves. He played the point guard position, and was a member of the senior Argentina national basketball team that won the bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Instituto Atlético Central Córdoba basketball section is part of the homonymous sports club based in Córdoba, Argentina. The team currently plays in league LEB Oro. History Founded in 1978 as Club Bosco-Salesianos, the club achieved its first success promoting to Segunda División in 1984. Rubén Magnano
Rubén Pablo Magnano (born 9 October 1954) is an Argentine-Italian professional basketball coach. Coaching career Magnano served as the head coach of the senior men's Argentine national team. He led Argentina to the silver medal at the 2002 FIBA World Championship. Argentina also beat Team USA during the tournament. He also led Argentina to a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games.
