The 2022 Open de l'Isère, Engie Open de l'Isère was a professional tennis tournament played on indoor hardcourt, hard courts. It was the twelfth edition of the tournament which was part of the 2022 ITF Women's World Tennis Tour. It took place in Grenoble, France between 7 and 13 February 2022. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Monnet has career-high WTA rankings of 188 in singles, achieved on 27 February 2023, and 353 in doubles, reached on 18 April 2022. Olivia Ann Nicholls (born 26 October 1994) is a British tennis player who specialises in doubles. Nicholls has won one doubles title on the WTA Tour and 17 doubles titles on the ITF Circuit.
