2022 East–West Shrine Bowl
The 2022 East–West Shrine Bowl was the 97th edition of the all–star college football exhibition to benefit Shriners Hospital for Children. The game was played at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, on February 3, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. PST, televised on the NFL Network. It was one of the final 2021–22 bowl games concluding the 2021 FBS football season. The game featured NCAA players (predominantly from the Football Bowl Subdivision) and one invitee from Canadian university football—Deionte Knight, a defensive lineman from the Western Mustangs. Allegiant Stadium
Allegiant Stadium is a domed stadium located in Paradise, Nevada. It is the home stadium for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL), the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Rebels college football team, the Las Vegas Bowl, and the Vegas Kickoff Classic. Scheduled to host Super Bowl LVIII in February 2024, the venue is located on about of land west of Mandalay Bay at Russell Road and Hacienda Avenue and between Polaris Avenue and Dean Martin Drive, just west of Interstate 15. Jerrod Terrel Johnson (born July 27, 1988) is a former American football quarterback and current coach who is the quarterbacks coach with the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). Kerry Joseph
Kerry Tremaine Joseph (born October 4, 1973) is an American former gridiron football quarterback and current coach. He is the assistant quarterbacks coach for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He was born in New Iberia, Louisiana. Joseph was named the CFL's Most Outstanding Player in 2007 while leading the Saskatchewan Roughriders to victory in the 95th Grey Cup. At the end of the season, he had completed 267 of 459 passes for 4002 yards and 24 touchdowns. He also led all quarterbacks in the league in rushing with 737 yards on 90 attempts and 13 touchdowns. Benjamin Jacobs (born April 17, 1988) is a former American football coach and former linebacker who is the assistant special teams coach for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League (NFL). He was signed by the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2011. Jacobs played college football for Fresno State, where he tied an NCAA record by forcing three fumbles in a single game. Ed Foley
Edward Charles Foley Jr. (born September 26, 1967) is an American football coach and former player. He was the assistant special teams coach for the Carolina Panthers from until mid-2022, working under head coach Matt Rhule, who he had previously worked with at Temple University. Prior to coaching the Panthers, Foley primarily coached college football, including head coach positions at Fordham University and Temple University. Jeff Howard (born January 13, 1983) is an American football coach who is the defensive backs coach for the Seattle Seahawks. Playing career Howard played linebacker for Eastern New Mexico from 2001–2004 and was a 4-time Academic All-Lone Star Conference member.
