2022 EAFF E-1 Football Championship
The 2022 EAFF E-1 Football Championship was an association football tournament organized by the East Asian Football Federation. It was the 9th edition of the EAFF E-1 Football Championship, the football championship of East Asia. The finals were originally scheduled to be held in China. However, on 19 April 2022, it was announced that Japan would host the finals. It was the nation's fourth time hosting the tournament. In this edition, preliminary rounds were not conducted. North Korea withdrew from the competition and the remaining slot of the participating teams for the final round was decided upon the FIFA rankings as of 31 March 2022. is a Japanese professional association football, footballer who plays as a Forward (association football)#Striker, striker for Shonan Bellmare and the Japan national football team, Japan national team. Cho Gue-sung (; ; born 25 January 1998) is a South Korean footballer who plays as forward for Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors and the South Korea national team. Club career Cho played as a defensive midfielder during his youth career and his freshman year at Gwangju University. However, Cho wasn't evaluated as a good midfielder by his university's manager Lee Seung-won, and changed his role to a striker in 2017. Tan Long (; born April 1, 1988), former name Tan Xin (), is a Chinese professional footballer who currently plays for Chinese Super League club Changchun Yatai. Club career Tan started playing football when he was six.
