2022 Cork Premier Senior Hurling Championship
The 2022 Cork Premier Senior Hurling Championship was the third staging of the Cork Premier Senior Hurling Championship and the 134th staging overall of a championship for the top-ranking hurling teams in County Cork, Cork. The draw for the group stage placings took place on 8 February 2022. The championship ran from 7 June to 16 October 2022. Midleton GAA, Midleton entered the championship as the 2021 Cork Premier Senior Hurling Championship, defending champions, however, they failed to qualify for the #Knockout stage, knockout stage after losing two games and finishing bottom of #Group A, Group A. Na Piarsaigh GAA, Na Piarsaigh's relegation ended 65 years of top tier hurling for the club. Sarsfields GAA (Cork)
Sarsfields GAA is a hurling club is based in the Riverstown and Glanmire area of County Cork. The club plays in the Imokilly division of Cork GAA. They have won six County Championships, 1951, 1957, 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014. They have also won three Minor County Championships, 2007, 2008 and 2014. Glen Rovers GAA
Glen Rovers is a Cork (city), Cork-based Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Blackpool, Cork, Ireland. The club was founded in 1916 and is primarily concerned with the game of hurling. They were Cork senior hurling champions in 2015 and 2016, having won their first title in 26 years in 2015. They retained the championship in 2016, when they beat Erin's Own in the final. Conor Lehane
Conor Lehane (born 30 July 1992) is an Irish hurler who currently plays as a centre-forward for the Cork senior team. Born in Midleton, County Cork, Lehane first played competitive hurling at Midleton CBS Secondary School. Here he won Rice Cup and Cork Colleges medals before later featuring on the Harty Cup team. As a student at University College Cork, Lehane won a Fitzgibbon Cup medal in 2013. Lehane first appeared for the Midleton club at underage levels, winning a county minor championship medal in 2010 before claiming county under-21 championship medals in 2011 and 2013. As a member of the Midleton senior team he also won a county senior championship medal in 2013. Having played for Cork at under-15 and under-17 levels, Lehane was just sixteen when he was selected for the Cork minor team. He played for two championship seasons with the minor team. The 1993 Cork Senior Hurling Championship was the 105th staging of the Cork Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The draw for the opening fixtures took place on 13 December 1992. The championship ended on 17 October 1993. Erin's Own entered the championship as the defending champions. On 17 October 1993, St. Finbarr's won the championship following a 1-14 to 1-13 defeat of Carbery in a replay of the final. This was their 25th championship title and their first in five championship seasons. It remains their last championship triumph.
