2022 Challenge Tour
The 2022 Challenge Tour is a series of professional golf tournaments collectively known as the Challenge Tour. The Challenge Tour is Europe's official developmental tour and is organised by the PGA European Tour. It was introduced in 1986 and was originally called the Satellite Tour, before being renamed with its present title in 1990. Schedule The following table lists official events during the 2022 season. Challenge Tour Rankings ''For full rankings, see 2022 Challenge Tour graduates.'' The rankings were titled as the Road to Mallorca and were based on prize money won during the season, calculated using a points-based system. The top 20 players on the tour earned status to play on the 2023 European Tour. Nathan Kimsey
Nathan Kimsey (born 21 March 1993) is an English professional golfer. In 2022, he won the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final and the Challenge Tour Rankings. Amateur career Kimsey, from Woodhall Spa Golf Club in Lincolnshire, were an integral part of the England squad between 2010 and 2013. Highlights of his amateur career included selection for the Great Britain & Ireland 2011 Jacques Léglise Trophy, 2012 St Andrews Trophy and 2013 Walker Cup teams, and he formed part of the victorious England side at the 2013 European Amateur Team Championship in Denmark. He won the 2011 Peter McEvoy Trophy, and in 2013 he was runner-up at the St Andrews Links Trophy and won the Terra Cotta Invitational in Florida. At the Men's Home Internationals he became the first England player in 15 years to win all six matches, following which he went on to be a semi-finalist in the English Amateur. Empordà Challenge
The Empordà Challenge was a golf tournament on the Challenge Tour held at Empordà Golf on the Costa Brava near Girona, Spain. In 2021, together with Challenge Costa Brava, also hosted at Empordà Golf, the tournament served as a replacement for the China Swing with Hainan Open and Foshan Open, which was cancelled. In the inaugural tournament Jonathan Thomson took the early clubhouse lead, after posting a final round of 62 (−9). Jens Dantorp
Jens Morgan Dantorp (born 28 April 1989) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and the Challenge Tour. He has won three times on the Challenge Tour. Professional career Dantorp turned professional in 2008 and played on the Nordic Golf League, winning eight times between 2008 and 2012. He won four tournaments in 2011 and topped the Order of Merit. Dantorp played on the Challenge Tour in 2012 and 2013, picking up his first win in August 2013 at the Rolex Trophy. At the end of 2013 he qualified for the main tour in 2014. 2014 was a disappointing season and he returned to the Challenge Tour in 2015. Mateusz Gradecki
Mateusz Gradecki (born 4 June 1994) is a Polish professional golfer who plays on the Challenge Tour. He won the 2022 Limpopo Championship, becoming the first Sunshine Tour winner and only the second Challenge Tour winner to hail from Poland. Amateur career Gradecki was born in Trzebnica and grew up in Oborniki Śląskie. His father Krzysztof owned the Eko supermarket chain and has been featured on lists of the 100 richest Poles. Limpopo Championship
The Limpopo Championship is a golf tournament on the Sunshine Tour played at Euphoria Golf & Lifestyle Estate in Modimolle, Limpopo province, South Africa. It was first played in March 2019 with prize money of R1,500,000. J. C. Ritchie won the event at the first hole of a playoff with Steve Surry. The second edition was played in early 2020. It was co-sanctioned with the Challenge Tour and had increased prize money of US$250,000 (R 3,500,000). Because of the large field, a second venue, Koro Creek Bushveld Golf Estate, was used for the first two rounds. Ritchie retained the title in 2020, beating Wilco Nienaber by two strokes.
