2022 CRC Brakleen 150
The 2022 CRC Brakleen 150 was the 16th stock car race of the 2022 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, the final race of the regular season, and the 13th iteration of the event. The race was held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, in Long Pond, Pennsylvania at Pocono Raceway, a permanent triangular-shaped racetrack. The race took the scheduled 60 laps to complete. Chandler Smith, driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports, held off Ryan Preece in the final few laps, and earned his fourth career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series win, and his second of the season. Smith would also dominate the race, leading 49 laps. To fill out the podium, John Hunter Nemechek, driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports, would finish 3rd, respectively. The CRC Brakleen 150 is a annual race on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series calendar at the Pocono Raceway. History The inaugural race was run on July 31, 2010. The race was most notable for its qualifying procedure, with more than two cars running at the same time on the track. Pocono Raceway (formerly Pocono International Raceway), also known as ''The Tricky Triangle'', is a superspeedway located in the Pocono Mountains in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. Benjamin J. Rhodes (born February 21, 1997) is an American professional stock car racing driver. The NASCAR Cup Series is the top racing series of the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR). The ARCA Menards Series is an American stock car series, the premier division of the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA). It is considered a minor, semi-professional league of stock car racing, used as a feeder series into the three national touring series of NASCAR, and hosts events at a variety of track types including superspeedways, road courses, and dirt tracks. Todd Martin Bodine (born February 27, 1964) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, driving the No. 62 Toyota Tundra for Halmar Friesen Racing, and current racing analyst for Fox NASCAR. Todd is the younger brother of former racers Geoffrey and Brett Bodine. Bodine is known for his bald head, which has given him the nickname The Onion. Matthew Justin Crafton (born June 11, 1976) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He is a three-time champion of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (2013, 2014, 2019), in which he competes full-time, driving the No. 88 Ford F-150 for ThorSport Racing. Early career Crafton was born in Tulare, California. Before turning to NASCAR racing in 2000, he raced go-karts, midgets, and mini sprints.
