2022 CFL Season
The 2022 CFL season is scheduled to be the 68th season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it will be the 64th season of the Canadian Football League. The regular season is scheduled to begin on June 9, 2022, and end on October 29, 2022, with 18 games being played per team over 21 weeks. Regina is scheduled to host the 109th Grey Cup on November 20, 2022. CFL news in 2022 Collective Bargaining Agreement The three-year agreement that was ratified between the CFL and CFL Player's Association will expire just prior to this season, on the first day of scheduled training camp in 2022 (likely in May, 2022). Topics should include compensation, player safety, and revenue generation following two seasons heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. 109th Grey Cup
The 109th Grey Cup decided the Canadian Football League (CFL) championship for the 2022 season. The game was played on November 20, at Mosaic Stadium in Regina, Saskatchewan. It marked the fourth Grey Cup game to be held in Regina, and the first to be held at the new Mosaic Stadium as opposed to Taylor Field. The game was played between the West Division champion Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the East Division champion Toronto Argonauts; the Argonauts won 24–23 and earned their league-leading 18th Grey Cup, preventing the Blue Bombers from becoming the first team to win three consecutive Grey Cups since 1980. Hamilton Tiger-Cats
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are a professional Canadian football team based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. They are currently members of the East Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL). The Tiger-Cats play their home games at Tim Hortons Field. In 1950, the Tigers merged with cross-town upstart Hamilton Wildcats and adopted the name "Tiger-Cats". The 2019 CFL season was the 66th season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it was the 62nd Canadian Football League season. Wolfville is a Canadian town in the Annapolis Valley, Kings County, Nova Scotia, located about northwest of the provincial capital, Halifax. The Canadian Football League (CFL) has played numerous neutral site games in its history – i.e. games outside of both teams' home cities. Several CFL games have been staged in the United States – the earliest was in 1909, and the most recent was in 1995 during the league's short-lived US expansion. East Division (CFL)
The East Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League, its counterpart being the West Division. Although the CFL was not founded until 1958, the East Division and its clubs are descended from earlier leagues. The four teams in the division are the Toronto Argonauts, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Montreal Alouettes, and Ottawa Redblacks. Edmonton Football Team
The Edmonton Elks are a professional Canadian football team based in Edmonton, Alberta.
