2022 BCL Americas Final
The 2022 BCL Americas Final was the final game of the 2021–22 BCL Americas, the 3rd season of the league under its new entity and the 15th of the Pan-American premier basketball league organised by FIBA. It was played at the Arena Carioca 1 in Rio de Janeiro on 9 April 2022. The game was played between Brazilian club São Paulo and the Uruguayan club Biguá. São Paulo won its first-ever continental title, just 4 years after the resurrection of the club's basketball section. Bruno Caboclo was the team's key player and won the league's MVP award. São Paulo FC (basketball)
São Paulo FC is the basketball section of the São Paulo FC club, based in São Paulo, Brazil. The men's first team plays professionally in the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB). Home games are played at the Multisport Gym Doctor Antônio Leme Nunes Galvão, which has a capacity for 1,900 people. The club was inactive for a long time but it resumed operations in November 2018, starting competing in the second-tier LOB for the 2018–19 season. After a second-place finish promotion to the top-level NBB was secured. In 2022, São Paulo made its debut in the BCL Americas, the top tier panamerican competition and won its first-ever continental title after defeating Club Biguá in the Final. Real Estelí Baloncesto
Real Estelí Baloncesto is a Nicaraguan basketball team based in Estelí. Founded in 2018, it is the basketball section of the Real Estelí FC football club, which was founded in 1959. The team entered the Liga Superior de Baloncesto (LSB) for its debut season in 2018 season. The team's home arena is the Alexis Arguello Sports Complex, which was opened in 2017 and has a capacity of 8,057 people. Carioca Arena 1 (Portuguese: ''Arena Carioca 1'') is an indoor stadium in Barra da Tijuca in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The venue hosted basketball at the 2016 Summer Olympics as well as wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby at the 2016 Summer Paralympics. As with a number of other venues in the Barra Olympic Park, Carioca Arena 1 was transformed after the games to become part of the Olympic Training Centre.
