2022 AMA Supercross Championship
The 2022 AMA Supercross season is the 49th season of professional stadium off-road motorcycle racing in the United States. Season overview The season began on January 8 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, running until the final race in Salt Lake City, in late May. In round 3 at San Diego, Chase Sexton and Michael Mosiman each won their first events in the 450cc and 250cc classes respectively. Eli Tomac won his sixth career Daytona Supercross race at Round 9, eclipsing Ricky Carmichael's record for the most top class wins at Daytona. With the victory, he also tied Ryan Villopoto for the fifth-most wins in the AMA's premier class. Eli Tomac clinches the title at round 16 in Denver, CO with a 5th place finish over runner-up, and winner of the race, Jason Anderson. AMA Supercross Championship
The AMA Supercross Championship (commercially known as Monster Energy AMA Supercross) is an American motorcycle racing series. Founded by the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) in 1974, the AMA Supercross Championship races are held from January through early May. Supercross is a variant of motocross which involves off-road motorcycles on a constructed dirt track consisting of steep jumps and obstacles; the tracks are usually constructed inside a sports stadium. The easy accessibility and comfort of these stadium venues helped supercross surpass off-road motocross as a spectator attraction in the United States by the late 1970s. Jettson Lawrence (born August 7, 2003, in Landsborough, Queensland, Australia) is an Australian Motocross racer. Competing in the AMA Supercross & Motocross Championships; a one-time 450cc AMA Motocross & 450cc SuperMotocross Champion, a two-time 250cc AMA Motocross, & 250cc AMA Supercross Champion. Jett was the 2020 Marty Smith Pro Rookie of the year in the 250cc class for the AMA Motocross Championship. He also received the Ricky Carmichael Award at the 2022 Motocross des Nations. Hunter Lawrence (motorcycle Racer)
Hunter Lawrence (born June 28, 1988) is a former American football placekicker. Lawrence tried out for the job of placekicker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played college football at the University of Texas at Austin. High school career Lawrence attended Boerne High School in Boerne, Texas, where he was coached by Tommy Bludau. As a junior, he made 20 out of 25 field goals with a long of 48 yards with 2 being blocked, he also made 44 out of 46 point after touchdowns, which earned him first-team 4A all-state by the Associated Press and the Texas Sports Writers Association. Ken Roczen (born 29 April 1994 in Mattstedt, Germany) is a German professional motocross and supercross racer. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 2009 to 2011 and the AMA Supercross Championships since 2011. He is an MX2 Motocross World Champion, Motocross des Nations winner, 250cc West Supercross champion, 450cc Monster Energy cup winner, and two-time 450cc AMA Motocross champion.
