2021–22 Supercoppa Italiana (women)
The 2021 Supercoppa Italiana (branded as the 2021 Supercoppa Italiana Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane for sponsorship reasons) was the 25th edition of the Supercoppa Italiana. Just like the previous edition, on 16 April 2021, it was announced that the format would be extended from two to four teams. It was contested by Juventus the 2020–21 Serie A champions, Roma the 2020–21 Coppa Italia champions, Milan and Sassuolo. For the second time in a row, the competition was played in the calendar year following the end of Serie A and the Coppa Italia. The matches were played in Frosinone at Stadio Benito Stirpe between 5-8 January 2022 and Juventus won for the third time in a row. Qualified teams Matches The draw was made on 24 November 2021. Stadio Benito Stirpe
The Stadio Benito Stirpe (also known as ''Stadio Casaleno''), is an all-seater football stadium in the Italian city of Frosinone, Lazio. Designed in the mid-1970s and built in the second half of the 1980s, the stadium remained unfinished for about thirty years. The stadium was completed between 2015 and 2017 on the initiative of local football team Frosinone Calcio, who won a lease for the stadium from the local council for 90 years, in order to replace the old municipal stadium. Claudia Ciccotti (born 9 February 1994) is an Italian footballer who plays as a midfielder for the Italian club A.S. Roma. She previously played for Res Roma and saw her playing rights transferred to A.S. Roma when the latter club took over Res Roma's Serie A license. Christy Louise Grimshaw (born 8 November 1995) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Serie A club AC Milan and the Scotland national team. Early life Grimshaw was born in Kirkcaldy but raised in Stonehaven, where she was educated at Mackie Academy. Amanda Nildén
Amanda Nildén (born 7 August 1998) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a defender for Women's Super League club Tottenham Hotspur and the Sweden national team.
