2021–22 Sunshine Tour
The 2021–22 Sunshine Tour is the 22nd season of professional golf tournaments since the southern Africa-based Sunshine Tour was relaunched in 2000. The Sunshine Tour represents the highest level of competition for male professional golfers in the region. Wilco Nienaber (born 7 April 2000) is a South African professional golfer. He won the 2021 Dimension Data Pro-Am. He plays on the European Tour and is known for his long distance off the tee. Amateur career Nienaber won several amateur events in Africa and represented South Africa at the 2018 Eisenhower Trophy in Ireland, where he finished 3 under par individually. He made his European Tour debut as an amateur in December 2018 at the South African Open at Randpark Golf Club, north of Johannesburg, where he opened with two rounds of 69 to make the cut. The Dimension Data Pro-Am is an annual golf tournament on the Southern African Sunshine Tour, founded in 1996. The tournament was co-sanctioned by the European Tour for the first two years. The Cape Town Open is a golf tournament on the Sunshine Tour in Cape Town, South Africa. From 2012 to 2016, it was played annually in November at Royal Cape Golf Club. Brandon Stone (born 20 April 1993) is a South African professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and Sunshine Tour. He represented South Africa at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Limpopo Championship
The Limpopo Championship is a golf tournament on the Sunshine Tour played at Euphoria Golf & Lifestyle Estate in Modimolle, Limpopo province, South Africa. It was first played in March 2019 with prize money of R1,500,000. J. C. Ritchie won the event at the first hole of a playoff with Steve Surry. The second edition was played in early 2020. It was co-sanctioned with the Challenge Tour and had increased prize money of US$250,000 (R 3,500,000). Because of the large field, a second venue, Koro Creek Bushveld Golf Estate, was used for the first two rounds. Ritchie retained the title in 2020, beating Wilco Nienaber by two strokes. Zanaco Masters
The Zambia Masters, currently known for sponsorship reasons as the Zanaco Masters, is a golf tournament on the Sunshine Tour. It was first played in June 2014 as the Zambia Sugar Open. A tournament called the Zambia Sugar Open was played in 2013 but was a different event, the Zambia Open.
