2021–22 Premiership Rugby Cup
The 2021–22 Premiership Rugby Cup is the 49th season of England's national rugby union cup competition and the third under the new Premiership Rugby Cup format following the disbanding of the Anglo-Welsh Cup at the end of the 2017–18 season due to the withdrawal of the Welsh Pro14 regions. Although there are no stipulations on player selection, the cup will be seen by many clubs as a development competition, and games will take place during the Autumn internationals and during the Six Nations. The competition returns after a one-year hiatus due to cancellation of the 2020–21 competition. Sale Sharks enter the competition as reigning champions, becoming the second winners of the Premiership Cup when they defeated Harlequins 27–19 at the AJ Bell Stadium in the 2019–20 final. Bath Rugby is a professional rugby union club in Bath, Somerset, England. They play in Premiership Rugby, England's top division of rugby. Charlie Ewels (born 29 June 1995 in Bournemouth, England) is an English professional rugby union player who plays at lock for Premiership club Bath. Personal life Ewels grew up in Bournemouth, attending Moordown St Johns, Bournemouth and Bryanston schools. Stuart Hooper (born 18 November 1981) is the current director of rugby and former rugby union player, at Bath Rugby. He last played for Bath Rugby in the Aviva Premiership in April 2016. Early life Born in Exeter, Hooper played basketball at county level until he was 16, before opting for rugby on his move to the specialist sports campus at Ivybridge Community College. Newcastle Falcons is a rugby union team that play in Premiership Rugby, England's highest division of rugby union. The club was established in 1877 as the Gosforth Football Club.
