2021–22 Ole Miss Rebels Men's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 Ole Miss Rebels men's basketball team represented the University of Mississippi in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Rebels were led by fourth-year head coach, Kermit Davis. Kermit Davis
John Kermit Davis Jr. (born December 14, 1959) is an American college basketball coach for the Ole Miss Rebels men's basketball, Ole Miss Rebels. Davis was previously the head coach at Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders men's basketball, Middle Tennessee. His head coaching experience also includes brief stops at Idaho Vandals men's basketball, Idaho (twice) and Texas A&M Aggies men's basketball, Texas A&M. Early life and family Davis's father, Kermit Sr., was the head coach at Mississippi State Bulldogs basketball, Mississippi State University for seven seasons, ending in 1977. He was an alumnus of the school and was promoted to head coach at age 34 after four years as an assistant for the Mississippi State Bulldogs basketball, Bulldogs. Daeshun Ruffin (born March 26, 2003) is an American college basketball player for the Jackson State Tigers of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). High school career Ruffin played basketball for Callaway High School in Jackson, Mississippi. In his freshman season, he averaged 19.6 points and 5.8 assists per game, and led his team to the semifinals of the 5A state tournament. In his first game at the tournament, Ruffin scored 42 points, breaking Malik Newman's scoring record. Ruffin averaged 26 points, 4.6 rebounds and three assists per game as a sophomore. The UAB Blazers men's basketball team represents the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in the NCAA Division I men's college basketball, and have competed in Conference USA (C-USA) since 1995. History The UAB Blazers started their athletics program with the creation of men's basketball in 1978.
