2021–22 Oklahoma City Thunder Season
The 2021–22 Oklahoma City Thunder season was the 14th season of the franchise in Oklahoma City and the 56th in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Thunder were officially eliminated from playoff contention for the second consecutive season. It was the first time the team suffered consecutive losing seasons since 2006– 2009 where they went on a four–year stretch. Previous season The Thunder finished the 2020–21 season 22–50 to finish in fourth place in the Northwest Division, fourteenth in the Western Conference and failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time since 2014-15. Following the season, Al Horford and Moses Brown were traded to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Kemba Walker and a conditional first round and second round pick. Mark Daigneault (pronounced ''DAYG-nolt''; born February 23, 1985) is an American professional basketball coach and head coach for the Oklahoma City Thunder of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Coaching career Daigneault began his coaching career as a student manager at UConn from 2003 to 2007 under Jim Calhoun. After earning his bachelor's degree in education, Daigneault initially intended to go for a master's degree, but was urged by Calhoun and associate head coach George Blaney to pursue an assistant coaching role at Holy Cross and offered strong recommendations. Moses Brown (basketball)
Moses Shirief-Lamar Brown (born October 13, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA), on a two-way contract with the Ontario Clippers of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the UCLA Bruins. The center was named a McDonald's All-American as a high school senior in 2018. In his only year with UCLA, Brown was voted to the all-freshman team in the Pac-12 Conference. Miles James "Deuce" McBride (born September 8, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the West Virginia Mountaineers. High school career McBride was a two-sport athlete at Moeller High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, playing basketball and football as a quarterback.
