2021–22 Minnesota Timberwolves Season
The 2021–22 Minnesota Timberwolves season was the 33rd season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The regular season for the league began on October 19, 2021 and featured the normal 82-game schedule for the first time since the 2018–19 season. On September 22, 2021, general manager Gersson Rosas was fired, and was subsequently replaced by Sachin Gupta. With a win over the Milwaukee Bucks on March 19, the Timberwolves clinched their first winning season since 2018, and only their second winning season since 2005. After a win over the Los Angeles Clippers in the Play-In Tournament on April 12, 2022, the Timberwolves clinched their first playoff berth since 2018. However, they lost to the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round in six games. Chris Finch (born November 6, 1969) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is the current head coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was previously an assistant coach for the Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets, New Orleans Pelicans and Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The 2021–22 Los Angeles Clippers season was the 52nd season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA), their 44th season in Southern California and their 38th season in Los Angeles. The Clippers qualified for the play-in, but failed to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2018 after being defeated by both the Minnesota Timberwolves and the New Orleans Pelicans in the Play-In Tournament, who coincidentally made their first playoff appearances since 2018. D'Angelo Danté Russell (born February 23, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected as a McDonald's All-American in 2014 and played college basketball for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was the second overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. 2021–22 New Orleans Pelicans Season
The 2021–22 New Orleans Pelicans season was the 20th season of the New Orleans Pelicans franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). On June 16, 2021, coach Stan Van Gundy agreed to part ways with the Pelicans after one season. The Pelicans soon hired Willie Green as the next head coach. On December 15, Devonte' Graham, who was acquired from the Charlotte Hornets in the offseason, hit an 61–foot shot to hoist the Pelicans to an 113–110 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. NBA G League
The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official List of developmental and minor sports leagues, minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. Elston Howard Turner Sr. (born June 10, 1959) is an American former professional basketball player who currently works as an assistant coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Pablo Prigioni (born May 17, 1977) is an Argentine-Italian former professional basketball player, currently serving as an assistant coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Western Conference is one of two Athletic conference, conferences that make up the National Basketball Association (NBA), the other being the Eastern Conference (NBA), Eastern Conference. Northwest Division (NBA)
The Northwest Division is one of the three divisions in the Western Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The division consists of five teams: the Denver Nuggets, the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Portland Trail Blazers and the Utah Jazz.
